(VLF) Very Low-Frequency metal detectors
These detectors operate within the 3 to 30 kHz frequency range and are sensitive to a variety of precious metals. VLF devices have the ability to recognize the good from the bad and have the functionality to adjust the sensitivity.
(PI) Pulse Induction Underwater Metal Detectors
Transmitting electronic pulses to the ground PI underwater metal detectors are highly sensitive to coins, jewelry and relics but yet not affected by ground minerals or wet sand. These devices are perfect for beaches and diving.

The sound of these junks is quite irritating and you might end up missing your find. Fortunately, this device is equipped with an adjustable pulse delay that lets you reduce the noise from all that junk and black sand.
That will give you the chance to concentrate on your find and not the disrupting noise. On top of that, the metal detector device is quite easy to use even if you’ve never had the chance to use any metal detector. It’s also powered up by 8 AA batteries hence making it powerful enough for your expedition.

A Word Of Advice
It’s important you do your homework when buying a device you wish to take underwater. While many manufacturers and retailers will advertise the device as fully waterproof they sometimes aren’t and tend to be only semi-waterproof at best.
This will generally mean that although the detector contains a waterproof coating, the components that comprise the device can only withstand very shallow water depths and aren’t suitable for diving or digging at sea.
Selecting the best type of device for your needs is also a very important factor. You need to consider where you intend to use the unit – saltwater or fresh? and also if you intend to use the same device on land or whether you have a separate detector for this purpose?
Depth is also an issue and if diving you should consider how deep you intend to go. For snorkeling you should check to see if the device comes with a short dive pole as standard as many do, remember failing to purchase a metal detector for use underwater without all the necessary extras and accessories can prove costly long term.

Looking for a good metal detector for my money going metal detecting on the Florida
Beach East Coast hoping to find some coins of the 1715 Fleet
I don’t think the metal detecting rules on the Florida beaches are not fair) now I can understand some stricted areas) but it’s getting to the point that if you go in the water you find something a golden coin and they want to take it away from you even though it’s not in the least area) the state of Florida all they do is sit on their ass all day long making up stupid rules) this is America this is not no communist country what you can tell people what to do) if you find it you keep it land or

Good evening, I have written a book called.. Treasure Hunting in the Philippines. It is presently on the internet with several search engines including, smash words, amazon and google. A movie based on the book is being planned titled, The Third Eye.
If you would like a complimentary copy in PDF format, please advise to my website.. Thank you
Hi, I’m new but narrowed down by price to either: Garrett Sea Hunter MK-II, Fisher 1280-X Aquanaut or Tesoro Tiger Shark. The latter mentions ease of use for newbie like me but would I be missing out from a feature with the other two? Are there particular features found with these three that stand out from each other or all do the same thing? Or, just go with the easiest one to use: Tesoro Tiger Shark?
Thank you for your response!
Hi again,
Seems from other reviews, the Garrett Sea Hunter MK-II can do more or at least better? Moreover, less complaints about defects compared to Tesoro Tiger Shark. Sound about rights?
Thanks again.
John
The Tesoro Tiger Shark is a waterproof detector. It can hunt gold prospecting, relic hunting and the coin shooters. This detector can be described as a brute under the water. Its article is great for me. Its included better battery that’s make the detector durable and portable. This detector can work about 200ft and boast four control settings. I need more information.
